Low cost acupuncture clinics for queer and trans people of color. Made up of a series of events combining sound healing, acupuncture treatments and free self care items, this project provides an important resource for underserved communities. Bloom: Transgender Healing Community Project: Have offered free acupuncture treatments for Trans and Gender Non conforming identified people.
CARE NOT CAGES, POP UP HEALING FAIR
Offered Free Acupuncture at Care Not Cages pop-up healing clinic in front of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to demonstrate the healing we wish to see in our communities, rather than the expansion of the "mental health" unit in the Santa Rita Jail, and overall resources put more and more into policing, jails, and the prison system.
Have offered free acupuncture treatments at WORLD for a health and spa day for Women who are HIV positive / or diagnosed with life threatening diseases.
Offered acupuncture services at IDA and self care resources for students of color, queers, and artists.
Have offered free ear acupuncture treatments as part of the wellness services of the AMC conference, a diverse social justice conference in Detroit.
Have offered sliding scale ear acupuncture during this public event, then offered monthly sliding scale clinics at Homestead Apothecary.
Have participated in Queer Magic Makers Art, Craft & Healing fair offering low cost acupuncture and selling immunity soup blends.
BLACK LIVE MATTER CLINIC
Following numerous police killings and outpouring of community grief, I offered a free acupuncture clinic for Black people which included the distribution of herbal medicine care packages.
